TERMS OF SERVICE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Flip a Coin mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Flip a Coin ("we," "us," or "our").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. By creating an account or participating in any game, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including casual visitors, registered players, and tournament participants.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to create an account and participate in real-money games. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Flip a Coin is currently available in the following countries and regions: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, England, USA (43 states), Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Romania, and Sweden. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws of your jurisdiction.

Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members of Flip a Coin and its affiliates are not eligible to participate in real-money games or tournaments.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & SECURITY

To play real-money games, you must create an account by providing a valid mobile phone number and verifying it via a one-time password (OTP) delivered by SMS. Each time you log in, a new OTP will be sent via SMS to your registered phone number. By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving these SMS messages for authentication purposes. Standard messaging rates from your carrier may apply. You may also be asked to provide a username, full name, and profile picture.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Each person may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to exploit bonuses, referrals, or promotions is prohibited and may result in account suspension and forfeiture of funds.

4. SKILL-BASED GAME CLASSIFICATION

Flip a Coin is a skill-based game. The outcome of each game session is determined entirely by the players' speed, reflexes, hand-eye coordination, and strategy. No element of chance, random number generation, or luck influences the game result.

In each game, three coins appear on screen in randomized positions. Players race to tap all three coins as quickly as possible. The player with the fastest completion time wins. All tap timestamps are recorded and validated server-side to ensure accuracy and prevent manipulation.

Flip a Coin is not gambling. Our skill-based classification has been substantiated by independent legal opinions from licensed law firms in each jurisdiction where we operate. For more information, see our What is a Real Money Game? page.

5. GAME RULES & FAIR PLAY

All game sessions are governed by server-authoritative scoring. Each coin tap is timestamped by both the client device and our servers. Completion times are calculated using the maximum of client and server timestamps to ensure fairness across varying network conditions.

Game sessions expire after 10 minutes if not completed. Tap speed is validated to detect automated or superhuman input. Any game session flagged for suspicious activity may be voided, and the entry fee refunded or forfeited at our discretion.

Anti-cheat measures include:

  • Server-side calculation of all game results
  • Developer options detection on mobile devices
  • Screen capture prevention during active gameplay
  • Tap speed and pattern validation
  • Device fingerprinting to detect emulators

We reserve the right to investigate any player suspected of cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized tools. Violations may result in account suspension, forfeiture of balances, and a permanent ban from the Service.

6. ENTRY FEES & PLATFORM FEE

Flip a Coin offers multiple game modes with different entry fees:

  • 1v1 Battles: Entry fees range from €0.50 to €250. The winner receives double the entry fee.
  • Tournaments: Entry fees vary by tournament type (hourly, daily, weekly). Prize pools are shared among top finishers.
  • Practice Mode: Free to play β€” no entry fee, no real-money prizes.

A 10% platform fee applies to all winnings from real-money games and tournaments. This fee is deducted automatically before winnings are credited to your wallet. Entry fees and the platform fee structure are displayed clearly before you confirm participation in any game.

We reserve the right to adjust entry fees and the platform fee with prior notice. Any changes will be communicated through the app and/or website.

7. WALLET, DEPOSITS & WITHDRAWALS

Your Flip a Coin wallet contains three balance types:

  • Deposit Balance: Funds you have added via payment methods. Used for entry fees.
  • Winning Balance: Funds won through games and tournaments. Eligible for withdrawal.
  • Bonus Balance: Promotional credits from referrals, daily rewards, and other offers. Subject to usage restrictions and not directly withdrawable.

Deposits: We accept multiple payment methods including credit/debit cards, iDEAL (Netherlands), and other region-specific options. The minimum deposit is €0.50. All transactions are processed through licensed, PCI-compliant payment providers.

Withdrawals: The minimum withdrawal amount is €5.00. Withdrawals are processed to your chosen payment method, typically within seconds for digital wallets and 1–2 business days for bank transfers. KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required before your first withdrawal and for certain thresholds thereafter.

We reserve the right to delay or refuse withdrawals if we detect suspicious activity, incomplete verification, or potential violation of these Terms.

8. TOURNAMENTS

Tournaments are competitive events where multiple players compete for shared prize pools. Tournament details, including entry fee, prize structure, duration, and number of winners, are displayed before you join. By entering a tournament, you agree to that tournament's specific rules.

Prize pools are distributed to top finishers according to the published payout structure. Tournament entry fees are non-refundable once the tournament begins. We may cancel or modify a tournament before it starts if minimum participation thresholds are not met; in such cases, entry fees will be fully refunded.

9. USER CONDUCT

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or third-party tools to interact with the Service
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the application
  • Exploit bugs, glitches, or errors in game mechanics for unfair advantage
  • Collude with other players to manipulate game outcomes
  • Create multiple accounts or share your account with others
  • Use the Service for money laundering or fraudulent purposes
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
  • Circumvent geographic restrictions or age verification

Violation of these rules may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent ban, and/or forfeiture of account balances. We maintain sole discretion in determining whether conduct violates these Terms.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, design, graphics, characters, logos, trademarks, and software associated with the Service are the exclusive property of Flip a Coin or its licensors. This includes but is not limited to the Blue Dolphin mascot, character designs, game interface, and the "Flip a Coin" brand name.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent. Your use of the Service grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific game outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Flip a Coin and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of money, loss of data, or loss of opportunity.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have deposited in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. TERMINATION

You may close your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting our support team. For step-by-step instructions, visit our Delete Account page.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination for cause, we may withhold remaining balances pending investigation.

Upon account closure, any remaining Winning Balance (after deducting pending fees or disputed amounts) will be returned to you via your registered payment method. Bonus Balance credits are forfeited upon account closure.

13. CHANGES TO TERMS

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via push notification, email, or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and close your account before the changes take effect.

14. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties.

If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For users in the European Union, this does not affect your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, or your rights under the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
